This is a great idea BooM! old m8 Smiley and since I'm hailing from Copenhagen, I will o/c help the best i can with all the practical stuff. Only prob I have is that I work most weekends, so how much I can participate in the actual event is controlled by my work-situation on the day ( I'm a musician ) but since you guys will be fraggin' for like 12 hours a night, I will definitely get my share Wink
So count me in, both ways Smiley

Hi XOLLERS, It’s been a week and a half, so here’s an update on the idea.
When posted, I discussed with Rork, that 10 firm interested would be a minimum, we where hoping for 20 plus, to create 4 CTF teams for the occasion.
At this point, I guess most regulars have read/seen the posting, and yet there is an interest shown by only 13. Not all are “100%” firm commitments, putting me in a bit of a dilemma. I will however continue the effort, but without promising “its going to happen” just yet.
A date has been settled, SATURDAY 1. May 2010. (So, if its your mothers Birthday, move it)
Actual gatherings (meet) throughout Saturday for the arriving travelers.
Dinner and hugging at 18:00 place to be determined, for everybody.
It’s going to be an all nighter, meaning 10 hours of gaming, starting either at 20:00 or 22:00.
XOL game fee is 50€, covers the gaming and prizes (Woo Hoo, Awright!)
(If its found to steep, we can reduce to 25€ and drop the WooHoo’s :=()
Ideas are, CTF 5vs5, CTF 4vs4, CTF 3vs3. (Subject to changes/deletion depending on final numbers)
FFA Deathmatch (King of XOL title to win) and LMS (King of Campers title to win)

For the record, the following, in random order, has shown the interest:
Rork, Gromit, Taiger, Rednas, Assasin, Habouji, Xeno, Fl!pS!de, Schubert, Kraken, Noggie, Duncan, Darth_Lightning, Boom!
(If any of you disagree, let me know please)

I still have at least 10-15 very regular XOLLERS in mind that has not piped up at all yet!
Where are all the fine players of Czech Republic? The other Italians, Balkan guys, The rest of the Brits, all the Germans!?!
And if there are prizes involved, where are Friend, Wind and NF? (The WooHoo can be lousy t-shirts, key rings with fl!ps!de logos, or money, let’s see)

So for now guys; Quit scratching your navel, the itch is not gonna go away.
GET INVOLVED, post your commitment and get other XOLLERS to do the same ;=)

I will start arranging the location details and other stuff (Order that T-shirt I have in mind for Friend and NF) hehehe

Boom!
PS: I didnt forget the 4 American XOLLERS; guys, if you find the money to actually join, game fee is on me!

I might join, but I'm not interested in a cup, league or any kind of competition and I certainly won't pay money to buy prizes. This is what already destroyed the LAN party community, at least in Germany...
In my understanding this should a social event, where you can meet other fellow players and have some fun, not a sports tournament. I don't know how others think about this but it should be decided in advance how the meeting will look like.

I've got some fancy key-rings I will donate as prizes, for free Smiley
(no BooM! it's not the FL!pS!dE key-rings) these have got a built-in light.
I do have some other stuff that could be donated as well, so don't worry 'bout paying for prizes,
and that could make things a little cheaper, eyh ?
I agrre with Assrat, that this should primarily be a social event, so the prizes are just for fun, but IMHO we still
need something to give to the best, and worst etc, but no worries m8s, it's been taken care of ! Wink

Hi assrat, I hear ya. The 50€ with prizes is just a proposal, if the participants (the ones showing interest) don’t care to much about the WooHoo, we just drop that, no problem. You are right, it is going to be very much a social event, with lots of hours of fragging and laughs.
The admission prize (without the WooHoo) is about 25€, this include 10 hours of gaming, 1½ Litre soda and some chips. If that is suitable for you (assrat) to want to join in, lets stick with that, but give me feedback here on it please

I gues.... euh... NO, I'm just GOING to Denmark!  Grin

In may 2010, I will have more then 50€ saved for this event, so I it doesn't matter really for me what the costs should be. I don't know who's driving from the NL. But it's possible to stay a night at my home (17 mins from the border of Germany) the day before and then drive together to Denmark.

Picking up someone like rork allready told is possible too. (just fight with me and rork... to get your ride  Tongue )

It should be nice when there is some kind of sleeping for the ones who drive the cars. In my case, a couch is fine Smiley

Do you have a "Take-with-you-list".

"Bite me!"

Hi markoz, you just need to do some vacation planning with kids! Just a long weekend away from home. The kids get to se Tivoli, the little mermaid and all the other things in Copenhagen. You get some serious gaming happening during the night ;=)
Boom!
If you get it planned, T-shirt is still on!
