Welcome to the weekly mapvote for the XOL DOG 400s CTF Fun Server. Here you can influence the maprotation, every friday morning we will change the two least popular maps with the two most popular maps which are decided on by the mapvote above.

Have a go at it and use the dictatorship of a minority to play the maps you like. Please note that you have to submit the mapvotes separately.

I know Dag Herzben is the evilest auto-aiming minigunning bot on XOL, but do we really have to name the server after him?!

Yeah, it's to honour the one and only player that doesn't get called an aimbot when he makes a headshot...

* Changed Dag in the servername to Dog.

Is there any way to get maps added to the lists above?

I was hoping we could try one of NogginBashers maps, CTF-PustesGlassCubes. It's a great 2v2, 3v3 map and I think it would be popular on xol.

Just post it somewhere on the forum but I prefer if you do it in a topic about new maps but this one is fine also. I'll add it on the next upload round.

There are plenty of maps, however the script crashed before updating the mapvote. It's fixed now.

omg, woot is the point of Unreal tournament mates.

why vote it out wile so many players enjoy it.

Maybe there should be something that prevent voting maps out that are played the most.

Maybe not, playing a map too often is annoying.

Then the soccer players must be pretty unhappy people...

It seems some of the most popular maps are also some of the most hated.  Burning and w00t are two examples.

I guess that's why we lost the great CTF-2on2Crates.  It was voted so many times that people got sick enough to vote it out!

Maybe we should have more red maps in the mapvote.

(Vote out Abysse!  Pretty but terrible layout.  Back_Yard is far more playable.)

The problem does not lie in the map itself but in people voting for a small map while there are too many players online (and vice versa).

Maybe the voting system could be changed a bit? Now you just vote out the maps you hate but can't save the maps you love. What if you voted for the maps you want to keep instead, this would result in the maps with no/least votes to be the least wanted maps and would be removed. To remove the least wanted maps I imagine to be the true goal of the mapvote.

I see your point but people have the right to hate a popular map and to vote it out. You can vote for multiple maps so you can vote for all maps except the one you really want to keep. It's also possible to do a tactical vote on Thursday evening to save a map. However feel free to make a new poll with your setup (next friday) to see if the results will be different.

The problem does not lie in the map itself but in people voting for a small map while there are too many players online (and vice versa).
And that's one of the reasons I don't like the server mapvote. To be honest I stopped voting out too popular maps for I want to keep them in so I could try the old system without mapvote again sometime. But there are some maps that have to be ditched first IMHO.
